1989 NFL Draft - Round 9

The 1989 NFL Draft was held on April 23-24, 1989. A total of 335 players were chosen over 12 rounds. The Dallas Cowboys chose Quarterback Troy Aikman from UCLA as the first pick in the draft. Future Hall of Famers Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas and Deion Sanders were selected in this draft.

The NFL also held the 1989 NFL Supplemental Draft prior to the start of the 1989 NFL season.
