1979 NFL Draft - Round 11

The 1979 NFL Draft was held on May 3-4, 1979. A total of 330 players were chosen over 12 rounds. The Buffalo Bills chose Linebacker Tom Cousineau from Ohio State as the first pick in the draft. Future Hall of Famers Dan Hampton, Kellen Winslow and Joe Montana were selected in this draft.

The NFL also held the 1979 NFL Supplemental Draft prior to the start of the 1979 NFL season.
