The 1977 NFL Draft was held on May 3-4, 1977. A total of 335 players were chosen over 12 rounds. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose Running Back Ricky Bell from Southern California as the first pick in the draft. Future Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett was selected in this draft.
